The Effects of the Health Perception on Health Promoting Behavior in Child Care Teachers

Abstract
Objectives
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the health perception onhealth promoting behavior in child care teachers.
Methods
The Participants of this study were 227 child care teachers who were selected fromparticipants of a job traning program by purposive sampling. T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation,and Stepwised multiple regression using the SPSS program were conducted in order to analyzedata.
Results
First, there was a difference in health promoting behaviors according to demographicfactors (age and license type). Second, it was found that the health perception and age of theparticipants were significantly related to the health promoting behaviors. Finally, the health perceptionand age had an influence on health promoting behavior.
Conclusions
The Health promoting behavior was associated with the health perception and agein child care teachers. Further study is need to investigate more factor which influence on thehealth promoting behavior.
