Effects of Interpersonal Caring Program on Mental Health among Some University Students

Abstract
Objectives
The purpose of this research was to determine the effects of interpersonal caringprogram on mental health among some university students.
Methods
For this research, a non-synchronized quasi-experimental model including nonequivalentexperimental and control group was used. Interpersonal caring program for the university studentswas composed of intensive program (8 hours). The experimental group was made up of 18 studentsand the control group was made up of 23 students. The data were collected from November 25to December 17, 2010 and the collected data were analysed by the SPSS/Win 18.0 program.
Results
Interpersonal caring program was effective for depression, anxiety, hostility and phobicanxiety. The results of this study indicate interpersonal caring program was effective in mentalhealth among some university students.
Conclusion
Therefore, interpersonal caring program can be actively utilized as a useful interventionprogram for university students.
