Abstract |
Objectives This study was conducted to compare differences between women using Sanhujori facilities and women without using Sanhujori facilities for postpartum depression, postpartum stress,postpartum discomfort and postpartum activity.
Methods This study was a descriptive comparison research. One group consisted of 86 women using Sanhujori facilities after delivery, and went back home 3 weeks later. The other group consisted of 87 women without using Sanhujori facilities after delivery, and went back home 3 weeks later.
The data were analysed by using PASW 18.0 window program Results: The postpartum depression score of women using Sanhujori facilities was higher than that of women without using postpartum care center, and there was a significant difference. The postpartum activity score of women without using Sanhujori facilities was higher than that of women using postpartum care center, and there was a significant difference. Postpartum depression of women using and without using Sanhujori facilities had a strong correlation with postpartum stress and had correlation with postpartum discomfort. Postpartum stress of women using and without using Sanhujori facilities had correlation with postpartum discomfort. Postpartum activity and postpartum discomfort had correlation only among women without using Sanhujori facilities.
Conclusions This study has shown that postpartum depression of women using Sanhujori facilities was high, and women without using Sanhujori facilities were doing postpartum activity well.
Therefore, the ways of Sanhujori facilities management should be changed to perform an optimal nursing intervention for women's physical and psychological recovery, and education programs for Sanhujori facilities workers should be developed. |
