Journal of Korean Maternal and Child Health is the official publication of The Korean Society of Maternal and Child Health. It was launched in 1997 and accepts original research articles, short communications, reviews, editorials, book reviews, and other invited papers on undergraduate, graduate in the fields of medicine, public health, and nursing. Since 1997 the journal has been published biannually, from 2016 triannually, and from 2019 quarterly (January, April, July, and October). Supplemental issues are published occasionally.

The official title of the journal is 'Journal of Korean Maternal and Child Health' and the abbreviated title is 'J Korean Matern Child Health.' All submitted manuscripts are peer-reviewed by two or more experts in the corresponding field. The text may be written in Korean. The abstract, figures, tables, and references should be written in English. Some, or all, of the articles in this journal are indexed in KoreaMed, KOMCI, KCI, ENEST, and Google Scholar. The circulation number is 350. J Korean Matern Child health is not for sale, but is distributed to members of The Korean Society of Maternal and Child Health free of charge.
